About PharmaDoctor's eTool

The eTool is an online platform which allows pharmacists to conduct a guided travel health consultation with patients at the pharmacy. The eTool can safely recommend vaccines and medicines for certain conditions as it has been programmed to filter out ineligible patients based on medical details they provide. The eTool automatically updates itself with the most current travel health information available. To use the system a pharmacist will have to create a user account and then, to conduct a consultation the details of a patient’s planned itinerary and medical history need to be uploaded onto the system and a list of diseases and travel health risks will be generated. The trained pharmacist then explains the risks in more detail and the various protection options available, before the patient decides which vaccines/medication they want.
